Qualification

German board certified orthopaedic surgeon, trained in Germany and the United States. Holding specific national medical licenses in surgery.

Fellow of the European Board of Orthopedics and Traumatology (FEBOT). This examination and certification by the European Board of Orthopedics and Traumatology (EBOT) for fully trained specialists is an equal to the American ABOS (American Board of Orthopedic Surgery) or the British FRCS (Tr & Orth).

Professor Haasper specializes in surgical treatment of knee and hip diseases. He performs more than 500 procedures per year.

Professor Dr. med. Carl Haasper, MSc is surgeon in chief in a big regional center for orthopedic surgery (AMEOS Klinika Bremerhaven Geestland, formerly Seepark Langen-Debstedt).

Dr. Haasper’s clinical focus is the joint preserving knee surgery incl. the entire spectrum of arthroplasty of the knee and hip and general trauma and reconstruction with the different supply strategies and techniques of fractures of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the lower extremity.

Current Positions

Professor Haasper holds the position as Orthopaedic Surgeon in Chief at AMEOS Klinikum Seepark Geestland since 2016. Professor Haasper teaches at Hannover Medical School (MHH) as an associate professor. He is a member of the board of directors at Bremerhaven Hospitals.
